About 2048 5x5
2048 5x5 keeps the rules of the classic game but plays on a 5 by 5 grid with 25 squares instead of 16. The extra row and column give you much more room to fix mistakes, so games last longer and reaching 2048 becomes realistic for most players. The real target here is 4096. It is a good mode to practise strategy before going back to the tighter 4x4 board.
How to play
- Swipe or use the arrow keys to move every tile in one direction.
- Two equal tiles merge into one tile with double the value.
- Aim for 2048, then keep going for 4096 and beyond.
Tips
- Use the bigger board to build a long snake of decreasing tiles along one edge.
- Keep two edges full and stable, and work mostly with the other two directions.
- A 5x5 game can last a long time: plan your merges instead of rushing.
